I live in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. About ten days ago I scared a Gambel's Quail hen from her nest of thirteen eggs while I was trimming some brush in my backyard. I immediately stopped and have left the area alone all this time, in hope that she made her way back. I have been hesitant to inspect too closely to see if she had returned until just a few minutes ago. She was not there, but all the eggs remain. I don't know if she just happened to be out feeding or what. I get the feeling that she has not and will not return. I guess we'll have to wait and see if the chicks show up anytime soon. I am trying to find out some information on what to do now. On one hand, I would love to retrieve them and incubate them in my home, but I don't want to take the chance that the mother is still around and will end up doing a fine job herself. So there you are....I haven't answered a darned thing. - Cactus Bob
he hasn't he will come back for us when the time comes
The shell of the quail egg will come off
Don't take any of the eggs, or she WONT come back. she might of abandoned her nest, if she doesn't come back, take the eggs at night and warm them up. There is a chance they are still living.

No, it would disturb the bird too much and it wouldn't come back, but if it was abandoned yes.
Spartan mothers and wives gave their men their shield before they went to war and told them "with your shield or on it." In other words, come back alive with your shield, never having run in panic from the enemy, or come back on it, dead.
Charles Darwins religion was Unitarian same as his mothers, Unitarian is when you believe in one God and not three Gods (The Trinity) Over the course of his life he abandoned his religion and did not come back to it even on his deathbed. See description of his last hours at Link.
Their mothers wont come back to help them find food and then they'll die
I suppose to clean and repair it. There is a story that before battle, Spartan mothers told their sons to either come back victorious or come back carried on their shield.{Spartan mothers would give their sons the shield with the words "Return with it or carried on it!" }
depends on what bird
alligators come from eggs and the eggs come from their mothers'
king quail babies are about as big as big as your thumbnail.
