Do Galah live in the desert?
The galah, Eolophus roseicapilla, also known as the rose-breasted cockatoo, galah cockatoo, roseate cockatoo or pink and grey, is one of the most common and widespread cockatoos, and it can be found in open country in almost all parts of mainland Australia. It is only absent from the driest of desert regions.

As a general species, parrots are not endangered. Many individual species are plentiful, with abundant populations of millions of birds. Some of these include parrots such as the budgerigar, sulphur-crested cockatoo, cockatiel, galah and rainbow lorikeet, just to name a few. However, some parrot species are endangered.
