How do you catch a parakeet that is loose in my house?

The best time to find the sugar glider is at night, as this is when they are active. During the day though what you can do is look through EVERY small space. Check in between couch cushions before you sit down. Do not use the washer and dryer (or any electronic item that the glider could crawl into) until the glider is found. Look in your shoes before putting them on -- in fact, check all of your shoes now.

Check every pocket in every article of clothing or bag.

If you have other pets, you're going to want to contain them to a room that you KNOW the glider is not in.

Now, at night, what you're going to want to do is leave the gliders sleeping pouch or nesting box out. Leave food out. Water.

You're going to want to turn the lights off, and sit quietly someplace with a flashlight (off). With any luck, you'll hear the sugar glider playing, and can then shine the flash light on them. If not, the hope is that the glider will go into the pouch or nesting spot to sleep come morning.

My advice would be to set some food out that parakeets like into a trap that automatically shuts as soon as the parekeet is in it.
