mainly 1-5 but i have 2 males and 4 females. i had to get more because one male was pecking just one of the females and made her bleed. i advice you to get more than one female its better so he has other females to pick on not just one.
As with most mammals, two, a male and a female
The alfa male and alfa female are the breeding pair in a pack. So two lead the pack. If there is plentiful game in the area sometimes there will be two breeding females.
Whether or not you can have male and female ocicats, male and female toygers, male and female boxers and a male and female doberman will depend on where you live. There are rules as to how many pets can be in one home in many places. It will also depend on how much money you have. It will be expensive to care for so many pets.

== == Beardies mate then the male leaves. The female is gravid for 2-3 weeks then she lays one of many clutches during the breeding season.
If by "engage" you mean as in a mating tie, I do not think there is a limit, except in terms of the stamina of the male. If a male is left alone with a female in heat, the two could mate several times a day. If the male is sick or out of condition, it would undoubtedly be much less than that. When reputable breeders are doing a breeding, they typically breed the pair once every other day, to allow the male's sperm count time to recover after each breeding.
Male and female raccoons do not live together unless the male is a young offspring of the female.
No, separating the male and female is not necessary for the female to lay eggs. In many species, such as chickens, the female can lay eggs whether or not a male is present.
If they are both in breeding condition a nest will be built and the female will usually be spawned out within a few hours. Following this, if she is not removed quickly she will be killed. If she is not in breeding condition and fails to show an interest in spawning she will be killed if she is not removed. A Male Betta will not suffer another Betta to be in its immediate vicinity. However they are peacfull with all other species and are often bullied in community tanks.
Fruit will only divelop from female parts of the flower but many plants can be both male and female.
