Eagle species only nest once a year. Incubation takes 35 days and one to three eggs are normally in the nest. Chicks remain in the nest for between 70 and 92 days before fledging. Most clutches of three rarely produce three viable birds as the weakest will be pushed from the nest by one of the other stronger chicks.
