Ravens can fly, so they are not naturally flightless.

They do not prey on other species, although they are opportunistic feeders and do eat carrion (the carcasses of dead animals) and will sometimes take small, undefended chicks.

They are not game birds, because they are not hunted to be eaten.

Ravens do not swim or wade, so they are not water birds.

Ravens can make many vocalization sounds, but these are all harsh and do not have the sweet melodic sound of true Songbirds.

They do, however, belong to the order Passeriformes and birds in that order are sometimes referred to as "songbirds", although are more properly called "perching birds".
