because the birds eggs are in there with the mommy bird in there
If the nest has eggs in it you might harm the chicks.
Just be patient until the babies are gone, then remove it by hand. If it has birds in it, they are breeding, and it is immoral and possibly illegal to disturb it. Hands off if it's occupied.
If a brooding bird is disturbed, it may abandon the nest, and the eggs will not hatch.
You should never put anything in a bird's nest, or disturb it in any way (including touching the nest)! Everything you touch has your scent on it. the bread will be somewhat useless to the dove in/owning the nest because it will probable smell you and abandon the nest. Your best bet is to leave the bread somewhere nearby-perhaps near the ground or somewhere at least 5 feet away from the nest. Remember, a bird will abandon a nest even if you startle her!
You should NEVER touch a bird's nest, because the nest has bird scent all over it and if a human hand or human scent comes in contact with it, the birds will sense that and never return to the nest even if the eggs or babies are in it.
The dove looked for a place to build a nest.We will nest in this tree. You should not disturb a nest.We need air support to take put that machine gun nest before we advance up the hill.
Ya it is very bad indeed. Coz they dont live in a nest and if you find in a nest you wouldn't want to disturb them coz they are already homeless...
You get stung...
Yes but try to disturb her the least way possible. Only clean what you consider a danger to newly hatched chicks. Clean so the hen is not off the nest any more than a few minutes. Try not to move the nest much or the hen may stay off the eggs.
Only new queen wasps hibernate, and they don't do it in the old nest, the rest die when the cold weather comes. So in winter there should be no live wasps in a nest, and nothing should happen if it is disturbed.Watch the nest for a while to see if there is any activity, and if you have the slightest doubt get professional help to remove it.
It is often said that if you touch a bird's eggs or nest or the nestlings, the mother bird will abandon the nest. But, this is really not the case. That myth has been told for a very long time but, if you are careful, and do not overly disturb the nest, you will not cause the nest to be abandoned if you replace a fallen nestling in the nest or help the birds in some other way. There are, however, other reasons not to touch wild bird eggs, nests, or the birds themselves and those are to protect you from bacterial or viral diseases that may be carried on the feathers of the birds or on the nest and egg shells. You should never touch a dead bird with bare hands and always wash your hands well with soap and water immediately after any contact with areas that may be contaminated by birds or their feces.
