The problem with homeowner's insurance policies is that you are never really comparing apples to apples, and then there is the degree of coverage. The policy will most surely cover aspects of the boiler and damage that may ensue from boiler problems, but only reading the policy would explain if it does. Some home warranty policies may cover this as well. Home warranty policies have been expanding their coverage these last few years, and they would possibly cover repairs to a boiler (yet again, policies are different from each company).
