Use Elmer's Spray Contact Cement.
The best thing to do is avoid exposure to the sun. You can buy a windshield shade or use a vinyl (or leather) conditioner to keep the dash from drying out. You can also buy a dash pad.
Vinyl seats? Vinyl roof? Vinyl dash pad? Vinyl door panel?
No, they only place a car has leather is on the seats, dash board, sometimes the steering wheel and the glove box between the seats. Actually one could have anything one wants on the floor of a car, leather, fur , carpet , vinyl , tile, etc.. The material that is put in the interior of a car is one of personal choice, or comfort.
If you are speaking of the dash panel switch below you cd/radio you will have to pull parts of the dash off to access. If you've never done before consult a mechanic, and if your adventurous just start taking out the dash screws. BUT BE CAREFUL dash panels are vinyl and plastic if you miss a screw and start pulling the panel out it MAY crack or worsen the problem.
either faulty switch on dash, acutators inside the dash, or broken doors or plastic inside of dash.... common problem on the 2002-2004 or 2005 there was a total dash replacement kit it change out the broken plastic pieces inside the dash
The dash has to be removed which is a HARD job. I suggest taking it to an auto trim ahop.
It is in behind the dash right beside the head light switch. You will have to remove the plastic dash cover on the front of the dash to get to it.
Just to the left of the steering column towards the bottom of the dash. It is not under the dash, there is a plastic cover that is part of the dash.
There is an adapter kit out to fit. or you can custom do one with a custom front trim plate - I took that route - went to junk yard bought dash piece with the same color leather - pulled it over piece of hard plastic cut out hole for CD player and installed Good Luck
