You only need to remove the left hub assembly. Loosen the axle nut while still on four wheels. Having said that, put rear on suitable stand forward of the rear axle bearing carrier. For ease remove both rear wheels. Remove drive chain. Remove left hub. Remove brake caliper and secure. Remove the rear sprocket with flange together. There are two nuts on the axle that holds this in place. The nuts are different. The outer nut is a lock nut. Remove the outer and remover the inner nut. You can now slide the axle shaft out of the bearing housing. Now remove the housing after loosening the retaining bolts. Take the housing to a bench and remove seals and bearing. Note that there is a long spacer separating the bearing which is in the middle. This how I did this on my 86. Regards

AnswerRemove the wheel, and then remove the brake assembly then remove the rotor next you will have to remove the front axle. Once this is removed you will now be able to see the bearing now you have to remove the housing that the bearing is located in it should be 3 bolts that hold it in place once you get it free you then need to have the old bearing pulled out by a hydraulic press and then have a new bearing pressed in. Most machine shops are able to remove and press the new bearings in once the new bearing is in just reassemble everything. This is a time consuming project.
