Just like you would repair car engine was a blown head gasket. Take it apart and replaced the head gasket. Make sure and have the head checked for cracks and warpage.
yea it works good on a boat motor In my experience the only permanent repair for a blown head gasket is to replace it. These gasket sealers are only a temporary fix used in an emergency.
Cracked block or blown head gasket.
It could be a head gasket, or valve trouble.
Usually a blown head gasket will allow cooling water to enter the affected cylinder. This can be detected by observing the spark plugs for water on the electrode, or a clean washed appearance. A gasket blown between cylinders, may show no sign of water, but depending on size of the engine, may be hard, or impossible to start. The quickest, and most sure way to find out, is a compression reading of all cylinders.
only if there is a serious engine problem. A boat motor is cooled by lake water instead of a radiator and coolant system. The lake water is pumped into the motor's cooling tubes and pumped out through the exhaust. The only way I can see that there would be water in the oil is if the motor has a blown head gasket or a cracked valve.
To install a head gasket in a boat engine, first ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Remove the cylinder head by unscrewing the bolts in the correct sequence to avoid warping. Clean the surfaces thoroughly, place the new gasket on the engine block, and then carefully reattach the cylinder head, tightening the bolts to the manufacturer’s specified torque in the proper sequence. Finally, reassemble any other components and reconnect the battery before testing the engine.
I take it you mean the head gasket. Head gaskets are pretty cheap, but the labor is high. If it is a V 6 or V8 you may have to do only one side. A lot would depend on what engine you have. I don't know if it is a car, boat or what, so it is hard to say what all is involved. You do have to remove the head from the engine to install a head gasket.
