Tipping a room steward on a cruise typically ranges from $3 to $5 per day, depending on the level of service provided. Some cruise lines automatically add gratuities to your onboard account, while others leave it to passengers to tip directly. It's always a good idea to check with your specific cruise line for their recommended tipping guidelines, as they may vary. If you receive exceptional service, consider tipping more to show your appreciation.

Absolutely. The waitress should tip the busser, bartender, wine steward, and food runner. Sometimes the hostess. If the busser only buses tables then you should tip them 10% if they do more than buss tables for you then you should tip 20% of your tips. You should tip the bartender 10% of your alcohol sales. You should tip the wine steward or wine sommelier 5% of your wine sales. You should tip the food runner 1% to 1.5% of your food sales. tipping the hostess is not always required. But, if you want the hostess to give you good tables then I would tip her.
1 bottle of wine you can carry on. What I did was went on amazon.com and bought clear flasks called Rum Runners. They are undetectable by xray. And if by some weird chance you get caught with them, Carnival's policy is to take it and give it back at the end of the cruise. Saved me hundreds in drink money. The room steward didn't even care we snuck it on.
Obviously the suites are the most luxurious stateroom on the cruise. But the most comfortable and affordable room is the ocean-view.

Check with your carrier, because many cruise lines are now incorporating a "service charge" that appears on your account and is automatically distributed to the crew. However, tipping usually goes to your stateroom steward and their assistant, your waiters and their assistants, concierge, butler, and youth councelors (if you used those services) and anyone you felt really helped make your cruise vacation exceptional. Some cruise ship also have a centralized tipping system. This is where all of the tips that are for the specific crew is totaled by all of the tips and distributed fairly to all the cew.
