It depends on the source - for exhaust from the Diesel Generator (used by all submarines, either for primary charging on Diesel-Electric boats, or emergency power on Nuclear boats), it's fed through the ventilation system to an exhaust vent at the top of the sail, or Fairwater, the section of the boat that rises above the main deck (mistakenly called a conning tower). Air for the Diesel is brought in through a Snorkel Mast, which is raised above the waterline if the boat is at Periscope Depth.
For Carbon Monoxide generated inside the boat (smoking, cooking, etc.) the gas is passed through a CO burner, which filters the gas out.
If the Diesel isn't available (due to casualty or other problem) the Low Pressure Blower can be used to ventilate the boat while it's at Periscope Depth or on the surface.
Do not breathe from a tail pipe. Exhaust fumes contain many componentst that will kill you if to much is inhaled.
Well if you have a hole in your exhaust like rite under your car, it is able for the exhaust fumes to get into your car and kill you ;P
No who, but what. All internal combustion engines emit exhaust fumes.
Exhaust
The exhaust system is what muffles the engine sound keeps the fumes out of vehicle and away from the vehicles occupants and also filters the exhaust fumes out.
your exhaust may be jammed
Exhaust fumes from cars are an example of air pollution. They contain harmful gases and particulate matter that are released into the atmosphere, contributing to environmental and health issues.
You kids exhaust me! That exhaust fumes from that car are choking me.
Exhaust
They don't. You need to stop sniffing exhaust fumes, mister.
There may be a hole in your exhaust system causing fumes to leak into the car. This can be dangerous and should be fixed immediately.?æ
If the car is filling with exhaust fumes, that is a health hazard, and is almost certainly caused by a broken or leaky exhaust pipe.
