i used 1 qt to 6 gal. but it was 1964 and we used 30 weight oil
50:1 is the correct mixture for a 1992 Johnson 60 hp outboard.

A 1986 year model 30hp Johnson outboard uses a 50:1 fuel to oil ratio.
A 1981 model, 140 hp Johnson outboard requires a 50:1 ratio.
Johnson and Evinrude outboards manufactured prior to 1965, require a 24:1 ratio. This ratio works out to 5-6 oz. of 2 cycle oil per gallon of fuel.
The ratio is 50:1.
