Johnson and Evinrude outboards manufactured prior to 1965, require a 24:1 ratio. This ratio works out to 5-6 oz. of 2 cycle oil per gallon of fuel.
Your 1958 Johnson uses a 24 to 1 mixture.
i used 1 qt to 6 gal. but it was 1964 and we used 30 weight oil

made in 1958
A Johnson outboard, model number CD-15, would be a 5.5 hp from 1958.
24:1 Manufacturers recommendation. You can go up to 32:1 with the newer oils available. The FD-12 is a 1958.
Model number QD-19 is a 1958 Johnson 10 hp, nice motor, take care of it.
All Johnson and Evinrude outboards manufactured prior to 1965 require a 24:1 ratio. The model CD-15 has always been one of my personal favorites, take care of it, and enjoy it.
