two stroke wise nothing less than 90hp on 16 ft size boat, It depends on 3 things, the size of the boat, the number of ppl in the boat and the age of the rider. Assuming you have a 16-19ft and 2-4 ppl in the boat to give a teenager a good ride you are going to want no less than 150hp if you have just young kids you dont really need much more than 100hp. If you want to give a terrifying ride you will need 200+ hp.
40 hp on a 4.3 tinny works perfect, top speed is too fast, plenty of pull can easily carry a spotter and a spare
You can pull a skier at around 17ktns so even with a smallish outboard (25hp) on a dinghy its possible.
you need to give more info!!..example what are you going to do with the 460?..race it?..pull a boat?..ton truck??
You will probably experience a slight pull and/or tilt to one side.
The minimum horsepower required to pull a skier on a 14-foot fiberglass boat typically ranges from 40 to 60 hp, depending on factors like the weight of the skier, the boat's load, and water conditions. A 40 hp engine might suffice for lighter skiers and calm waters, while a 60 hp engine would provide better performance and stability in various conditions. Always ensure the boat is rated for the engine size and consider safety and comfort when selecting horsepower.
Turn off the engine, get out of the boat and assess the damage, then call your insurance agent. If you don't have insurance, then just get out of the boat and pull it back home.
before you get it wet so if there is a problem you can remedy before you have to pull the vessell back out
Pull The trailer away from the boat ramp.
If pulling a live person into a small boat you must instruct them to help as much as they can. As you start pulling the person in you must take the time to even out the weight by carefully leaning back. As you finally get the floater into the boat both of you must get back to the center boat. Otherwise the boat will tip.
A bent blade on your prop will make your boat pull one way or the other.
can you pull a 36 foot house boat with a pickup truck
You can either pull the engine out, or drop the sub-frame. I understand that dropping it is easier.
