Nope. In Colombia there is one type of fruit we call granadilla and another type of fruit called maracuya. One is sweet and the other is sour. I have noticed many people mix up the names and I've also noticed there are many types of maracuya and granadillas according to Google (and they all look similar to each other).... My guess is they are probably closely related and so people interchange their names.
