During two types of radioactive decay an element is converted into another,
1- beta decay, during this decay a new element is formed with increase of one unit in atomic no but having the same Atomic Mass, 2- alpha decay converts the element into another having two units less in atomic no and four unit less in atomic mass.
transmutation
artificial transmutation
is the smallest particle of an element that has the properties of that element
13/6 C
An element or ion moves out of one compound and into another. (One element is replaced by another in a compound.)
A radioactive element is an element that readily undergoes nuclear decay - the nucleus spontaneously emits subatomic particles as the element changes into another element.
The conversion of one element to another
A nuclear reaction in which an atom is bombarded with elementary particles or with a lighter atom.
The reaction is:Pu-239 + alpha = Cm-242 + n
Nitrogen-14 forms Oxygen-17 when it is bombarded by alpha particles.
electrons
Bombarding the uranium isotope 238U with deuterons, we can obtain plutonium.
Technetium was created by bombarding molybdenum atoms with deuterons. Today technetium is produced by bombarding molybdenum-98 with neutrons
It depends on the element. Some synthetic elements can be made by bombarding the nucleus of a lighter element with protons or alpha particles. The heavier synthetic elements are made by colliding atomic nuclei with one another.

This element is lawrencium.
13/6 C
An element or ion moves out of one compound and into another. (One element is replaced by another in a compound.)
When a radioactive element slowly turns into another element/s when it emits various particles.
