Phosphate itself is not used to make explosives, but it can be a component in the manufacturing of certain types of explosives, like ammonium phosphate-based fertilizers. These fertilizers can be potentially misused to create explosives, but the process would involve other chemical compounds and steps beyond just phosphate.
Phosphate granules store excess phosphate in bacterial cells. This allows bacteria to regulate intracellular phosphate levels and use them during times of phosphate scarcity.
To make a 0.04 M phosphate buffer with pH 6, you can use a combination of monosodium phosphate (NaH2PO4) and disodium phosphate (Na2HPO4). Calculate the ratio of the two components based on the Henderson-Hasselbalch equation to achieve a pH of 6. Adjust the volume of water added to reach the desired concentration of 0.04 M.
No, explosives typically do not contain sulfuric acid. Explosives are usually composed of chemicals that rapidly release energy when ignited or detonated, such as nitroglycerin or TNT. Sulfuric acid is a strong acid that is not commonly found in explosives.
Nitrates are commonly used to make fertilizers, explosives, and food preservatives. Additionally, they are used in certain medications to treat certain heart conditions like angina.
Explosives are classified by their sensitivity, energy output, and chemical composition. They can be grouped into categories such as high explosives (e.g., TNT, C4), low explosives (e.g., black powder, fireworks), and blasting agents (e.g., ANFO). These categories are further divided based on their intended use and potential hazards.
People who make fire works!
That depends on where you are and what kind of explosives you make. The ATF redefined the word 'explosives" last year to include several products that were not previously considered explosives. In many places you can make your own black powder, rocket propellants and fuse. Some more powerful "explosives" can be made in very small quantities for use in fireworks, but there are restrictions on the storage of explosives. For more detailed and up to date rules, go to atf.gov.
Explosive Used For Fire-lanceGun powder was used by the Chinese to make explosives and the primitive flamethrower called a fire-lance.
yes they did, to make gold visible from rock caves and stuff. :-)
Whale parts are not used to make explosives.
235 is used in reactors and explosives as fuel238 is bred in reactors to make plutonium
You can not use explosives for lawn aeration. This process should only be done with a lawn aerator. To use explosives could be incredibly dangerous and most likely illegal in your area.
There are multiple states with explosives factories. There are about 174 companies in the US that make explosives. Businesses in the US use about 12 million pounds of explosives each year for mining, construction and manufacturing. I won't try to list all 174, but there are several in Utah, California, Texas, Ohio and Virginia.
Explosives were not invented for another thousand years.
its used to make explosives ;)
No.....because if they banned explosives, then we will have no fireworks :( x :) More importantly, even outside of military use, explosives are critical for modern civilization. Explosives are used extensively in the mining for minerals, and in drilling and extraction of various fossil fuels. They are also used in both construction and demolition of buildings and other infrastructure. Making explosives illegal to use would make many of these tasks harder, more expensive, and often much more dangerous, and some tasks are simply not doable without using explosives.
Yes they did. Explosives were used in mines to find gold ore.
