Remember, acidic water on the outside of your body and drink only slightly alkaline water and other liquids. Eat mostly alkaline foods but include some acidic foods too for a balanced diet.

Rabbits can easily drown. They have only very very small lungs.
They are one of those animals you never see swimming and are in general very scared of water, hence they might go into shock if really sprayed or submerged with/in water.
Some people say that only soap from a vet should be used.
You can easily use any soap that is in particular very mild and with no perfume added.
A baby shampoo with no perfume added should do the job safely. but do not wash your rabbit unless it is really dirty. Using only water is the best option if the dirt is normal "mud"
Oil and grease might need "stronger" stuff than the baby shampoo alone.
You can add a hand-full of sugar (Never use salt) in order to enhance the shampoo.
If worst comes to worst and the rabbit is incredibly dirty with stuff like tar or similar heavy oils, then use what you would use yourself to clean this out. Some times even shaving the rabbits fur partially is an option. This will grow out again and does little damage to the skin where as heavy detergents might.
Last but not least.
Make sure you rinse out the soap properly. residues of soap is very bad for most animals, rabbits included.
Pay extra attention when cleaning its head. This should only be done with a cloth.

∙ 13y agoNo. The reason is surfactants. They break down dirt and oils from the body and any , shall we say " biological " stains.These surfactants will irritate your epidermis , and really inflame you mucous membranes, all the " pink " parts.It will burn like all get out. Don't even think about it.
