1. Filtering: example: the Military uses gas masks to separate the chemicals from out of the air you breathe by using filters on the masks.

2. Settling: example: In Iraq in the summer we get huge dust storms. When the dust settles out of the air, it is easier to breathe again

3. Separate two items mixed by using air: example: have a box of confetti and marbles. Separated them by tossing them up in the air in some wind and the confetti will blow away but the marbles will drop back into the box.

Refrigeration.

The different gases freeze out at different temperatures. Simply remove the solid residue at appropriate temperature and you will have effected the separation.
