To calculate this you'll have to divide the amount of negative (electron) charge (-0.80 C) by the charge of one electron (-1.06*10-19 C/electron) (which is a so called 'table' value, measured by an internationally approved scientific method):

you'll get 0.800 (C) / 1.06*10-19 (C/electron)= 6.03*10+18 electrons

there are 8 electrons for a full shell. for an example let's use copper (Cu). any ions have a charge of 2+. Cu2+ means that the element has lost 2 electrons, therefore having 6 electrons. if it has a charge of negative one, it means that the element has gained 1 electron. i think that the element would have 7 electrons.

5.6*10^18. This is because you divide the number of electrons (-0.90 c) by the charge of one electron (-1.06*10^-19).

How many electrons are contained in 1C?

To find the number of electrons in a charge, you divide the charge by the charge of a single election. In this case it would be: -1C/(-1.6x1o^-19)=6.25x10^18 So 6.25x10^18 electrons are necessary to produce a charge of 1 C

What creates a charge?

A lack of electrons causing a positive charge, or too many electrons causing a negative charge.

How many electrons do protons have?

There are the same number of protons as electrons in each atom unless the atom does not have a neutral charge, if it has a negative charge it has that more electrons, and if it has a positive charge it has that much more protons hope this helps

How many unpaired electrons does phosphorus with the charge of negative three have?

18. Phosphorus posses 15 electrons and 15 protons, respectively its charge is 0.By accepting 3 more electrons, with their negative charge the total charge of the atom would decrease by 3.So the total charge would be -3 and the total number of electrons would be 18.
