The basis for its saturation is a hydrocarbon with the general formula:-
CnH2n+2
If a compound does not satisfy this, then it is unsaturated.
Thus here 'n' = 12
Thus with 12 Carbon atoms present in the molecule, to be saturated, would need 26 Hydrogen atoms (C12H26).
C12H22 is therefore unsaturated and will have 4 Carbon to Carbon double bonds in it.

Saturated triglycerides have more hydrogen's than unsaturated triglycerides.

If it is humid it is saturated. If it is dry it is unsaturated.
Proteins are neither saturated nor unsaturated.
the difference is in the backbone... if the backbone is unsaturated then it is an unsaturated polyester, if the backbone is saturated then it is a saturated polyester...
Saturated
A graph can illustrate what solution is saturated and unsaturated. If the point is on the line, then the solution is saturated, while if is below the line, the solution is unsaturated.
it is 86% unsaturated
why it is significant to know wheter a solution is saturated or unsaturated
Saturated triglycerides have more hydrogen's than unsaturated triglycerides.
It has saturated.
