Yes, it is a chemical reaction, because the colour of the banana has changed, which shows that a chemical reaction has taken place. Also, if the banana has gone black and turned bad, you can't change it back to it's original form, which proves that it is a chemical reaction and not a physical reaction.

A chemical reaction has definitely taken place if :

It's colour has changed

There are energy changes

Or, it can't be changed back to what it used to be!
