Yes cake is a chemical change becaus it has a realse of gas as it bakes. That's why there is little holes.
Only the digestion of it is chemical;
melting - dissolving - chewing - swallowing - etc. are physical (mechanical) processes.
Chemical change. Physical changes (like melting) can be undone. But you cannot unbake a cake.
Heat brings about a chemical change. Physical changes can be undone, but you cannot unbake a cake.
Baking a cake, burning paper, photosynthesis.
New chemical bonds are being formed, and some are being broken. A simple test for if something is a chemical change or not is if the reaction is irreversible, such as baking a cake. Quite a few chemical changes are reversible, however you can almost be certain that a physical change is reversible, such as water <-> ice.
no it is not, it is a chemical and irreversible change,
physical; it changes only in appearance, not chemical structure :)
a chemical change
Chemical change.
It is a chemical change. A chemical change is when you can't take the item back to its original state. Ex. A baked cake can't go back to cake batter.

It's mostly a chemical change - since I doubt it is reversible.

Cake is a substance. It's not a "change" of any kind.
