The hexagram (or six pointed star) is not a chemical symbol, it is a religious symbol, however, the hexagon (a six-sided regular polygon) can be used in chemistry as the symbol of the benzene molecule.

There was a time, when Alchemy was practiced, that the hexagram was thought to represent the four elements. The upper triangle represented air, the line through it fire, the lower triangle earth, and the line through it water.
