Physical Separation
reversible - can be separated by physical means - E.g shaking a bottle of Greek salad dressing, the different ingredients mix but don't form a new substance.
Chemical Separation
irreversible - can be separated by chemical means - E.g burning of wood or coal
in physical method of separation we use physical methods e.g. we use filter paper.
in chemical method of separation we use chemicals methods e.g. we boil water to kill bacteria.
I imagine a physical change would be ice to water to steam whereas a chemical change would be like hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) would change to water (H2O) and oxygen
When you separate a physical change the identities of the substance do not change so it will be physical.
A physical change occurs when water turns to ice or steam. A chemical change occurs when a piece of paper burns.
for me it
s physical .. bcoz even if you will boil filter or . etc. the result will be water.
This is a physical change.
It's a physical change. The atoms of Oxygen and Hydrogen that made up the water molecules have simply been separated from each other.
Oil floating on water is not a "change", so asking whether it's a physical change or a chemical one is nonsense. To the extent there's any meaning at all to the question, it's a phenomenon caused by the physical properties of the two materials.
Physical. (Its still water.)
This is a physical change. The bubbles are pockets of steam which is the same chemical as water, just in a different state.
No, it is a physical change. The water and gasoline retain their chemical and physical properties.
physical change
Salt water is a solution, a mixture not a "separation".
This is a physical change.
None, explosion is chemical, separation is physical.
it is a physical change
Hydrogen & Oxygen.

Ocean water is a substance, not a physical or chemical change.
