False because an ore is any rock that contians any metal...

Metallic ores are rocks that contain metals.Sometimes it contains a metal compound, like Hematite, an ore of Iron, Fe2O3, for example. They can also contain metals that are found in their pure form, like copper (which can form compounds, but not usually when found in ore) and Gold (which does not form compounds). This is known as a 'native' metal.
Metal is not made of rock. It is made of metal atoms bonded together in what is called a sea of electrons. Metal ores are rocks that contain metal atoms bonded with other elements, such as oxygen, and as such the metal compound in the ore does not have the properties of metals, such as luster, malleability, and conductivity, until the ore is processed and the metal is separated out. _______________________________________________________________________________________ Conversely, rock is made up of several different metals such as silicon, iron, and/or cobalt, etc., and mixed together in it's magma stage before it's cooled.
No, copper is not a ferrous metal. Ferrous metals are those that contain iron, while copper is a non-ferrous metal, meaning it does not contain iron.
False. The coordination number of a transition metal ion is the total number of bonds formed between the metal ion and the ligands. It is not necessarily equal to the number of ligands the metal is capable of bonding with.
Zirconium is a nonferrous, transition metal.
Metal-bearing rocks are called ore. They contain valuable metals that can be extracted and refined for various industrial purposes. Examples include iron ore, copper ore, and gold ore.
The rocks have a high enough metal content to make them economically viable for extraction. The metal can be extracted and used for various industrial purposes. Extracting the metal from the rocks would be profitable.
Ores
Metal (chemistry) comes from metal ores, rocks that contain metal alloys. Metal (music) comes from Britain, more specifically Birmingham with the band Black Sabbath.
silicon oxide- SiO2
Metal-bearing rocks sought after in mining are typically called ore deposits. These deposits contain high enough concentrations of valuable metals such as copper, gold, silver, or iron to be economically viable for extraction. Mining companies prospect for ore deposits to extract and process the valuable metals.
The rock is called an ore. Ores are rocks that contain minerals with high concentrations of valuable elements or metals that can be extracted and processed for commercial use.

It needs to contain an element that can be sold for money/profit. An example is if you have Ore that contains metal, they can use that metal to make scissors or other things that need the kind of metal to complete it but first they'll have to smelt it.
All metals come in a Raw form and are extracted from rocks that are called Ores
