2 that what my quiz said was right I really don't know why but if you would like a free answer it is 2

*The answer is 2 but here is why. Since vanadium crystallizes in a body-centered sphere, it is assembled as one sphere surounded by eight spheres (4 on top and 4 on bottom), so the coordination number is 8 because 8 spheres contact each central sphere. In one cube, you would have the central sphere and 1/8 portion of each surrounding sphere. So you have 1 sphere + 8(1/8 spheres) = 2 spheres (unit cells).

Type of bond present in a diamond?

According to Wikipedia:"A diamond is a transparent crystal of tetrahedrally-bonded carbon atoms in a covalent network lattice that crystallizes into the diamond lattice which is a variation of the face centered cubic structure."

Why does iron tend to form a bond with vanadium?

I would not say that iron does "tend to form a bond with vanadium". Certainly vanadium is present in small amounts in some steels for example . An alloy ferro vanadium is produced industrially and used in steel manufacture.

What materials are used in vanadium mining?

The main material used in vanadium mining is vanadium-rich magnetite ore. This ore contains high amounts of vanadium pentoxide (V2O5), which is the primary source of vanadium. Other minerals and compounds may be present in smaller quantities, but vanadium-rich magnetite is the primary material of interest.

Does barium atoms present in its lattice?

Ionic salts as barium chloride form lattices.

Are cystals of salt really dry?

Not necessarily. There could be water molecules (hydration) present in the crystal lattice.

When elements are bonded with ionic bonds what are their electrical conductivity?

Solid ionic compounds cannot conduct electricity because there are no mobile ions or electrons present in the lattice, The ions cannot move out of the lattice, so the solid cannot conduct electricity, but Ionic compounds conduct electricity when molten or in solution (the ions are released from the lattice structure and are free to move).

Which compound have lattice structure?

Many compounds have lattice structures. A lattice is just a long repeated structure. This is evident in salts, such as NaCl, but can be present many other compounds. Other examples are Diamond, SiO2 (quartz), and ice.

What is the only letter in the alphabet not included on the periodic table of elements?

J is the only letter not present in the periodic table. Q is only seen once (ununquadium), as are X (xenon) and V (vanadium), but every other letter of the alphabet is present.

How many atoms of each element are present in NaCI?

Sodium chloride is a lattice. There are only two elements.

What type of bonding is present in diamond?

Covlent- the carbon atoms are each surrounded tetrahedrally by 4 other carbon atms and their hybridisation is sp3

Why a solid substance melts to liquid at high temperature?

the possibility of a solid substance to melt depends on the bond present in the solid substance.at high temperature, most or some of the bonds present in the substance break, leading to vibration of the crystal lattice present in the substance,if the vibration within compound increase, there is a distortion and breaking down of the bonds present, making the solid substance attain a more stable state, that is in liquid form.
