John Dalton was the first person to begin ordering the elements. He did this according to Atomic Mass.
John Newlands developed this idea further and noticed that there were similarities in ever eighth element, he called this "the law of octaves'. Newlands called each group (column) of three elements a 'triad'
The noble gases group is missing from John Newlands' periodic table. The noble gases were not discovered until after Newlands proposed his periodic table in 1864.
They both found patterns relating element properties to atomic weight, but when they tried to make them universal they broke down.Doebereiner's triads worked for some elements, but he was unable to fit every element into a triad. Newlands' first publication involved only about 25 of the more than 60 elements known at the time; when his work was criticized on this basis, he tried to "force fit" all of the other elements, arriving at some quite bizarre groupings.
Newlands' periodic table was rejected because it had gaps and did not account for newly discovered elements. The periodic table was improved by Mendeleev's table, which arranged elements in order of increasing atomic weight and left gaps for undiscovered elements. This allowed for a more accurate prediction of the properties of missing elements.
Dmitri Mendeleev is credited with arranging the chemical elements in order of their atomic weights. His work led to the development of the periodic table of elements.
Law of octaves was established by newland, before mandelleve. It states that : The properties of elements will repeat themselves after every 8th element. The series in which the elements were set was determined by newland. The law was not very successful because elements does not follow the same characteristics after mass no 40.

Antoine Lavoisier and Johann Wolfgang Döbereiner made contributions to the development of the periodic table before Mendeleev and Meyer. Lavoisier proposed a classification system based on properties of elements, and Döbereiner developed the concept of triads, which grouped elements with similar properties.

mendeleev was better than john newlands because he gave all the elements systematical manner . he showed 80 elements except the noble gas and inert gas but newlands gave this but in improper manner because of this mendeleev was better
in his house of shame you know what im saying.
