Your linoleum was probably not stained but bleached so there might not be much you can do.
Linoleum was first made from linseed oil (linoxyn) with either wood or cork dust, and then is backed with canvas or burlap. In around 1940 linoleum started to be made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), however in recent years because of some of the harmful effects of polyvinyl chloride, there has been a return to the old style linoleum.
Try dampening a rag with mineral spirits and try it on a small hidden area of the linoleum. If it is okay, repeat on the polyurethane spill. Use a clean area of the rag each time so you do not spread the polyurethane. Wash the floor thoroughly after you are done; dispose of the rags since they are now a fire hazard.
If muriatic acid has stained black granite, the color of the granite has been removed. This not a stain, it bleached the granite. There is no way to get it out other than to recolor it.
