When oxygen is insufficient the body cannot depend on the next step which is acetyl CoA, this enhances metabolism and it goes to the next step which is TCA cycle, here the body's metabolism is working to make more ATP. This is fuel for the body.

What happens if there is an insufficient supply of oxygen during the combustion of a hydrocarbon?

Like any other hydrocarbons, benzene and methylbenzene burn in a plentiful supply of oxygen to give carbon dioxide, water and oxygen my guess would be that if you didnt have enough in the first place nothing would happen becuase the eqaution of combustion has to be ballance so if thers 2 h2o there has to be to of everthing else or nothing would happen

What term describes the condition of having subnormal levels of oxygen in the cells?

Hypoxia is the condition characterized by subnormal levels of oxygen in the body's tissues and cells. This can lead to various health issues due to the insufficient oxygen supply.

Insufficient transport of oxygen within the body no matter what the cause is what?

If there is insufficient transport of oxygen within the body, it can lead to hypoxia, which is a condition where the body or a region of the body is deprived of adequate oxygen supply. This can result in symptoms such as shortness of breath, confusion, and in severe cases, organ damage or failure. Treatment typically involves addressing the underlying cause and providing supplemental oxygen if necessary.

Why is it better to burn fuels in a good supply of oxygen?

Burning fuels in a good supply of oxygen allows for more complete combustion, resulting in more energy released and less harmful byproducts like carbon monoxide and soot. Insufficient oxygen can lead to incomplete combustion, creating more pollutants and reducing energy efficiency.

What respirator would you wear in an oxygen deficient atmosphere?

For an oxygen-deficient atmosphere, you would typically use a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) or airline respirator with an independent air supply. These respirators provide a source of clean, breathable air to protect the wearer in environments where oxygen levels are insufficient for normal respiration.

What is the process of burning wood in the insufficient supply of air or oxygen called?

The process of burning wood in an insufficient supply of air or oxygen is called incomplete combustion. This leads to the generation of carbon monoxide instead of carbon dioxide, which can be harmful if inhaled.

What dangerous condition causes insufficient gas exchange in the lungs leads to a lack of oxygen supply?

Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a dangerous condition that causes insufficient gas exchange in the lungs, resulting in low oxygen levels in the blood. This can lead to respiratory failure and a lack of adequate oxygen supply to the body's tissues and organs.

What is Cardiac Oxygen Supply?

It is the supply of oxygen to the heart; the oxygen is carried by the blood. When there's insufficient blood supply, oxygen supply is low too, and angina results. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angina_pectoris
