Some ligands such as acetyl acetonato, glycine etc. have both neutral donor and anionic (acidic) groups. Co-ordination number and oxidation state i.e., charge on metal ion gets satisfied simultaneously when metal ions are co-ordinated to such ligands. Complexes so formed are called inner metallic complexes or only inner complex. Examples of inner complexes are:

[Co3(gly)3], [Co(acac)3], [Cu(gly)2] and [Cu(big)2]

whre, gly = glycinato, acac = acetyl acetanato and big = biguanido.

What is diffrenec between inner orbital and outer orbital complex?

Inner orbital complex involves the participation of inner d orbitals in bonding, which results in high spin configurations and smaller ligands. Outer orbital complex involves the participation of outer d orbitals in bonding, leading to low spin configurations and larger ligands.

Are the inner planets made out of?

Inner planets are made mostly of rock, although the Earth also has quite a substantial metallic core, of nickel and iron.

What is the name of the inner layer?

The inner core.

What does outer core?

The outer core is the metallic liquid layer that surrounds the solid inner core.

What is the metallic core?

The metallic core refers to the central portion of a planet or celestial body that is composed primarily of metal, such as iron and nickel. In the case of Earth, the metallic core is divided into the inner core and outer core, with the inner core being solid and the outer core being liquid. The metallic core plays a crucial role in generating Earth's magnetic field.

What part of the earth is a solid metallic sphere about 1216 kilometers in radius?

The inner core of the Earth is a solid metallic sphere made primarily of iron and nickel with a radius of about 1216 kilometers. It is surrounded by the liquid outer core and the solid mantle.

Which of the earth's layers would be best modeled as a metallic sphere?

The Earth's inner core is composed mainly of iron and nickel in a solid state due to high pressure and temperature. Therefore, the Earth's inner core would be best modeled as a metallic sphere.
