The base metal is iron - the active metal is zinc (galvanized)
A frozen pipe is a physical change, as it is just water changing state from liquid to solid (ice). However, a rusted metal bike is a chemical reaction as it is caused by the metal reacting with the oxygen in the air, in what is called an oxidation reaction.
Rusting of a pipe is a chemical change because it involves a chemical reaction between iron in the pipe and oxygen in the air, forming iron oxide (rust). This results in a new substance (iron oxide) being formed, with different chemical properties than the original iron, indicating a chemical change.
Rust is a chemical compound but can be associated also with other compounds.Lead (Pb) has no rust.
Bags of magnesium are attached to iron pipes to prevent corrosion of the pipes. The magnesium acts as a sacrificial anode, meaning it corrodes instead of the iron pipe, thereby protecting the pipe from rusting and extending its lifespan. This process is known as cathodic protection.
Yes, muriatic acid can harm cast iron pipes by corroding and weakening them. It is best to avoid using muriatic acid and opt for alternative pipe cleaning or maintenance methods that are safe for cast iron.
Depends on how long the pipe is
It is pre galvanised pipe that is pipe manufacture GP SHEET/COIL
Not really, there are tiny lumps all over most of it.
A salt of the metal. It could be an oxide but equally, it could be a halide, carbonate, suplhate or other salt.
galvanised pipe
galvanised pipe
abe chutiye kuch kaam dhaam nahi hai kya life mein... behenchod iron ki rating pooch raha haIA
there is difference in material ms is mild steel and gi is galvanised iron, hence the properties will be different
Use a Barbie head. Sawzall with metal cutting blade to cut through pipe without damaging cast iron pipe.
A hose is usually made of plastic or rubber. A pipe, on a motor vehicle is made of metal, steel, copper , galvanised. A tube is also made of metal ,but has a much thinner wall . (ie the difference between the outer diameter and the inner diameter)
No, do not use glue. Use teflon tape or pipe dope on the threads. You should also make sure you always put the male PVC thread into the female metal thread. If you do it the other way you will tend to split the PVC fitting when you tighten the threads.
You will want to put a length of copper into the fitting and solder it before you put it on the galvanised so that you don't cook out the pipe dope. >>they also could have soldiered on a flange on copper and thread on galvanized pipe.would have been another choice
