Well a neutron and a nucleus are different from each other because a neutron is a particle within the atom nucleus with a neutral charge The nucleus however is all the neutrons and the protons. Nucleus could also mean the nucleus of a cell, which is commonly refered to as well, but is completely different.

The nucleus is the center of atoms. It consists of protons and neutrons. The neutron is one of the particles in the atom's nucleus. In most types of atom (i.e., isotopes), a nucleus will have several neutrons - plus several protons.

What is the difference between the three subatomic particles?

The main differences are proton and neutron are in the nucleus, electrons are outside of the nucleus. The weight of an electron is between a hundred and a thousand times less of that of a proton and neutron and the charge on a proton is positive, neutron is neutral and electron is negative

What is the difference between photon and neutron?

Neutron is a neutral particle present within the nucleus of an atom. Proton is a positively charged particle present within the nucleus of an atom. Photons are particles of light.

What is the difference between a proton an electron and a neutron and where can they be found?

a proton is a positively charged particle that is found in the nucleus of an atom, a neutron is a particle that has no charge and is also found in the nucleus of an atom, an electron is a negatively charged atom that is constantly circling the nucleus of an atom.

What is the difference between a neutron a proton and a electron?

A nuetron has no charge and resides in the nucleus of an atom along with protons that have a positive charge. Electrons have a negative charge and are in the electron shells around the nucleus.

N-15 has one neutron more in its nucleus, the mass number is one higher.

How scientists can tell the difference between elements if they can tell do it by neutron number or electric charge?

The important thing is the number of positrons in the nucleus - this is the atomic number.

How do scientists tell the difference between elements if they can't do it by neutron number or electric charge?

The important thing is the number of positrons in the nucleus - this is the atomic number.

What is the difference between an electron and a neutron?

An electron has a mass of 1/1840 of an atomic mass unit, carries a charge of -1 and is found in one of a series of energy levels outside the nucleus of an atom. A neutron has a mass of 1 a.m.u., carries no charge and is found in the nucleus of atoms.
