There are several spoon-like tools used for this purpose. If you mean the very long one with a perpendicular bowl on the end, that's a deflagrating spoon. If you mean one that looks kind of like a spatula, it's called a spatula. There are also some we just call "spoons". And then there are scoops.

If you're sure that it has a specific and unusual name, it's probably the deflagrating spoon.
