the value always depends upon where you are. My grandfather began reoairing these i=in the early 1900's but they are a thing of the past. They are very long lasting but there of course are no parts to be had because as we have modernized these stoves became dinasaurs basically. Nothing wrong with them I have serviced 100's of these in years past. If you could get $50 I'd take it not sure if anyone would give it but you would have $50 in oictket if they do

What does monogram mean is science?

I believe that you are confusing the words monogram and monograph. A monogram has nothing in particular to do with science; it is just a set of initials. A monograph is an essay on a very specific topic (which could be a scientific topic).

What is the value of a 1924 peace silver dollar with DeFrancisis the designer monogram under the neck of lady liberty?

All Peace dollars have the monogram regardless of the year and value depends on condition and if it has a mintmark. 1924 is a very common year for Peace dollars, the Philadelphia issue (no mintmark) in circulated condition has retail values of $16.00-$20.00. The San Francisco issue is $17.00-$120.00. Take the coin to a dealer or collector for a better idea of value.

What is the value of an antique ivory box with carved monogram on top and signed Tiffany and Co. on the back?

Tiffany is a well thought of maker. Almost every article that it produced in it's own workshops or had cause to be made to their specification is of quality and therefore collected. However, the monogram detracts from it's value unless the initial owner was a famous person and there is documentary evidence of that. Then, the value would depend very much on the size of the box, the design and how desirable it might be in the eyes of a collector.

What does four dots at Tolkien's monogram mean?

The monogram that I saw has four dots at the top right and four dots at the lower left. It is a very stylized JRRT. I think Tolkien loved beauty in letters and they have no special significance. Some say he styled his monogram after a Chinese character, shu that means "to bind."
