Water or H2O consists of 2 atoms of hydrogen and 1 atom of oxygen.

The type of bond is covalent. Covalent bonds are bonds created between two non-metals. The molecule is also polar. 2 atoms that are connected by a covalent bond may exert different attractions for the electrons of the bond. In such cases the bond is polar, with one end slightly negatively charged (-) and the other slightly positively charged (+).

H2O is water which is formed from a covalent bond between hydrogen and oxygen. H2O2 is hydrogen peroxide which is formed from an ionic bond between the hydrogen H+ cation and the peroxide O2- anion.

What are some unigue properties of water?

The formula for water is H2O, and its boiling point is 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Cohesion and adhesion are the unique properties of water. They are a result of the hydrogen bond that exists between water molecules.

Who has the most polar bond H2O H2S H2?

H2 molecule is the least polar. Between H2O and H2S, the most polar will be H2O as oxygen is more electronegative than sulphur.

In the compound H2O the electrons in the bonds are unequally shared between oxygen and hydrogen forming what?

H2O, dihydrogen monoxide, is a compound formed by sharing electrons. Water, or H2O, is a polar covalent bond which means that is has an unequal sharing of electrons.
