Nichrome is a metal alloy containing nickel and chromium, hence the name, usually 80 percent nickel, 20 percent chromium. A nichrome wire loop is a length of wire from this metal with a little loop twisted into one end and a handle attached to the other. You can stick the loop in a flame and not hurt it.
These are used in Biology to transfer microorganisms to culture media, and in chemistry to do flame tests.

What is the affect of different wires connected to a 6-volt battery?
Hypotheses: Copper: It might not be visible but it will release the flow of all electrons and it will drain the battery because of that it will drain it very fast.
Nichrome: I'm assuming it will allow the flow of electrons but because it's so skinny it will slow down the flow by a little bit.
Steel Wool: It may cause sparks, heat, and it might glow.
Controls: Battery, wires, tissue, slate table, and plastic lid as insulator.
Variables: Copper, Nichrome, Steel wool

Nichrome alloy or high temperature and corrosion resistance alloy consists of Nickel and chromium elements therefore it is called nichrome or nickel-chrome. It is commonly used by industrialists in the elevated temperature applications due to its extensive corrosion resistance features.
Nichrome (a brand name) wire is wire made of an alloy of nickel and chromium. It has good strength and has a characteristic resistance that makes it good for use in heating elements.
Nichrome is a kind of metal. It is a conductor of electricity and a good conductor of heat. It's widely used nowadays.
butfer and chingernhty at it has a little bit of rugber
nichrome wire is very mean because I accidentaly used nichrime wire instead of this other wire I was supposed to use and the nichrome wire made the battery catch on fire
nichrome wire is a combination of many metals or it can be called as an alloy .this alloy has high amount of resistance against electricity. it used for the purpose such as resistor
Nichrome! It's an alloy of nickel and chromium, and sometimes iron.
what is the meaning of nichrome
Nichrome is a mixture compound. It is made by mixing few metal elements. Nichrome is an alloy.
One use for NiChrome wire is to make electrical heating elements.
It should be made of nichrome wire because resistivity of nichrome is high. Its high resistivity causes nichrome to heat up faster, when an electrical current is passed electricity moves through the wires, givingheat to the element.hope it helped
No, sulfuric acid oxidizes metals like those found in nichrome. Use hydrochloric acid instead.
what is the meaning of nichrome
Nichrome is not flammable.
Nichrome is used in explosives and fireworks industry
Nichrome is a mixture compound. It is made by mixing few metal elements. Nichrome is an alloy.
Nichrome but nichrome is made out of nickel and chromium
One use for NiChrome wire is to make electrical heating elements.
Nichrome has a high electrical resistivity.

Nichrome but nichrome is made out of nickel and chromium
nichrome
The basic constituents of nichrome are nickel and chromium that offer intense corrosion resistance features to alloy at the broad temperature limits.
