1- turbid solution. 2- no separation of solute and solvent by simple filtration. 3- they show Tendyll effect.
Solution, colloid, and suspension
You need several different properties in order to classify a material as a heterogeneous mixture.
If you have added milk and/or sugar to your hot coffee, you will have to stir it well, in order to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
Dilute means to make it less strong. i.e. You can dilute syrup to with water to thin it and make it less strong or sweet.
A solution is considered a homogeneous mixture of two or more substances; solutions are generally liquids but sometimes solid. For gases the term is not so adequate.
Solution, colloid, and suspension
Colloids can be destroyed by heating them or adding an electrolyte in order to destroy them. By adding a small amount of a electrolyte, a colloid can be coagulated. Electrophoresis may be another method to destroy a colloid.

theory
Given a set of data, order the observations by size. Then divide the set into four such that each part contains a quarter of the observations. These are the quartiles.

The median is the value in the middle when data is arranged in ascending order such as (1 2 3 4 5) 3 is the median. half of the observations, (4 & 5) are above it and half of the observations, (1 & 2) are below it. Thus median is your answer. :)
In order for something to be a mixture you must be able, after you mix the ingredients, to be able to separate them; for ex. raisins and bran flakes
The range is the difference between the largest and smallest observations.
