An aluminum cookie sheet would not be a great idea. Aluminum has a specific heat of .900 J/g° Celsius. Specific heat is the heat an object has to get to before it starts actually heating up, so the higher the specific heat the harder it is to heat up. To have a comparison Gold, the best conducter metal, has a specific heat of .129 J/g° Celsius, and Water has a specific heat of 1.000 J/g° Celsius. Aluminum's specific heat is so high you might as well be baking cookies in water... if that were possible.
Aside from that, if aluminum had a lower specific heat it would be great for a cookie sheet. It doesn't rust, its cheap (.05$ per oz), it doesn't explode while in contact with air or water (like potassium), and it generally lasts over a lifetime.
But because the specific heat is so high, there's really no point in using it as a cookie sheet. I suggest copper.
A cookie sheet should have a flat surface to ensure even baking, rolled edges to prevent warping, and a non-stick coating for easy release of baked goods. Additionally, it should be sturdy and durable for long-lasting use.
it is made out of metal......im doing a science project on wich cookie shhet is better for baking cookies? silicone covered or regular metal any guesses??
No, aluminum foil and aluminum sulfur are not the same. Aluminum foil is a thin sheet of aluminum metal used for wrapping food, while aluminum sulfur refers to a compound of aluminum and sulfur that is known as aluminum sulfide and has different properties and uses.
No, cookie sheets are flat metal pans used to bake cookies, while wax paper is a type of non-stick paper used to prevent food from sticking to surfaces or for wrapping food. Cookie sheets are used for baking, while wax paper is used for lining pans or wrapping food.
Aluminum is rarely used in it pure form in common sheet. There is usually at least some silicon and copper as additives to control certain properties of the metal "mixture".
they have a lot of them

Stoneware is much thicker and a metal cookie sheet is alot thinner and if you are going to bake cookies then pick the stoneware because the metal cookie sheet will burn the cookies.
No, you should not use the self-cleaning feature of an electric oven to remove baked-on residue from an aluminum cookie sheet. The high temperatures can damage the aluminum and warp the pan. Instead, it's better to soak the cookie sheet in hot soapy water or use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar to gently scrub off the residue.
The dollar store...wal-mart.... or just use aluminum foil .... it works... :D
Yes, you can cook cookies on aluminum foil. Just place the foil on a baking sheet and place the cookie dough on top to bake in the oven.

Because lead is both very heavy and poisonous when eaten. Aluminium is neither of these.

No, aluminum sheet metal is not magnetic.
