There are 2 main nuclear weapons labs. 1 at Los Alamos, NM (established 1943) and 1 at Livermore, CA (established 1952). Each weapons lab eventually had a nearby branch of Sandia Labs (Los Alamos in Kirkland AFB in Albquequeque, NM and Livermore nearby in Livermore, CA) that designed the non-nuclear parts of the weapons. Once designed and prototypes built and tested production was moved to a factory like PANTEX outside Amarillo, TX. Dozens of facilities across the country supplied these labs and factories with nuclear and non-nuclear components; including Hanford, WA (plutonium metal), Oakridge, TN (enriched uranium metal), Fernald, OH (plutonium and uranium extrusions and machined parts), etc.
The difference between an A-Bomb and H-Bomb is the energy reaction inside them, one of them is nuclear fusion and the other one is nuclear fission. A-Bombs contain a unstable nuclei such as Uranium 235, whiles H-Bombs contain light stable isotopes of hydrogen and sometimes helium. Nuclear fusion is the merging of atoms/particles, whilst nuclear fission is the splitting and break down of a big unstable nuclei.
Yes, fluoride is sometimes used in the production of nuclear weapons to help purify and enrich uranium for fuel or bombs. However, the amount of fluoride present in an atomic bomb itself is typically very small and not a primary component of the weapon.
Approximately 2,056 atomic bombs have been tested since the first one in 1945. These tests have been conducted by different countries for various purposes including weapon development, deterrence, and strategic analysis. Many of these tests have been carried out underground or in remote locations to minimize their effects on the environment and population.
little boy the first atom bomb used uranium 235 and fat man the second one used plutonium 239 surrounded by high explosives little boy used uranium 235 and fat man used plutonium 239<------- That answer makes no sense, and ima girl and i asked that question. What are you stupid? Little Boy was the first bomb, and Fat Man was the second.
Atoms are made up of the smallest form of matter
Atomic bombs have only been used in combat twice. The US dropped two bombs, one on Nagasaki, one on Hiroshima.
2 atomic bombs and 2 million HE bombs and 5 million incendiary fire bombs
So you could level more than one city and pose a larger threat
1 WW2 was the only war to detonate atomic bombs. Pray no one ever uses any again.
one of the atomic bombs blew up a town; which was heavily populated, and the other completely whipped out a island.
The main difference between atomic bombs and hydrogen bombs is the source of their energy. Atomic bombs rely on nuclear fission (splitting atoms), while hydrogen bombs use a two-stage process involving both fission and fusion (combining atoms). Hydrogen bombs are more powerful and destructive than atomic bombs.

He orederd that two atomic bombs were droped in Japan. One in Nagasaki and one in Hiroshima. Hundrends of Japanies stil suffer from those two bombs! He orderd that two atomic bombs were droped in Japan. One in Nagasaki and one in Hiroshima. Hundrends of Japanies stil suffer from those two bombs!
There two atomic bombs used against mankind. Little boy was dropped on august 6 1945 over Hiroshima and the other one was Fat man dropped over Nagasaki three days after.
There were 2 atomic bombs, which were dropped onto Japan in 1945. They were called 'Fat Man' and 'little boy'.
Two atomic bombs were dropped in the mainlands of Japan, one in Nagasaki and another one in Hiroshima.
Actually, the United States used atomic bombs to end WWII against Japan. Two bombs were dropped in 1945, one on Hiroshima and one on Nagasaki.
