Na2SO3 + KMnO4 ---> K2SO3 + NaMnO4

All solutions are aqeous. It's a simple double replacement reaction.

Its a Redox Equation not a double replacement KMnO4 is a common oxidizing agent im not sure about the answer but i guess it has to change KMnO4 into MnO

KMnO4 is potassium permanganate.

NaOH is sodium hydroxide.

Both of these substances are ionic bonds with polyatomic ions, therefore, the reaction between these substances would be a double-replacement reaction. The cations would switch places.

KMnO4+NaOH-->NaMnO4+KOH

Even though this reaction looks good written out, both NaMnO4 and KOH are soluble in water, therefore, both products are aqueous. This means that there is no reaction.

KMnO4+NaOH-->NaMnO4+KOH NR

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ACIDS AND AND BASES ARE MIXED TOGETHER?

When they are mixed together, a chemical reaction occurs. This chemical reaction is called neutralisation reaction. It is called so because they both neutralise each other to produce a salt and water. Also remember the following points.When a strong acid and weak base are mixed, the salt formed is an acidic salt.When a strong base and weak acid are mixed, the salt formed is a basic salt.When both the acid and base are strong, then the salt formed is a neutral salt .

When sodium oxide reacts with water what base is formed?

NaOH is formed then. NaOH is a strong base.
