If the elecrtronegativity difference is greater that 1.7 it is an ionic bond. If it is lower that 1.7 but greater than 0 it is a polar covalent bond. If it is equal to 0 it is a pure covalent bond.
A polar covalent bond. The higher electronegative atom has the shared electrons spend more time in it's orbital than the lower electronegative electron. This makes the higher electronegative pole slightly negative and the lower electronegative pole slightly positive while the overall molecule is neutral.
Ionic.

The ability to react with oxygen, which forms rust is a chemical property of iron.
Uranium is a reactive metal having a Pauling electronegativity of 1,38; uranium react with the majority of other chemical elements. Also uranium can form many alloys.
a force that holds atoms together
During a chemical reaction, bonds are broken between the atoms of the reactants and new bonds form to make the products. Essentially, the atoms of the reactants are rearranged to form the products.
Because atoms with the same number of valence electrons react in similar ways with other elements.
atoms
chemical property
They form a molecule by the intermediate of chemical bonds.
Atoms react with one another in order to become stable.
Thorium is a tetravalent element. Thorium react slowly with water; thorium can react with concentrated nitric acid and hydrogen chloride. Thorium can react with the majority of other chemical elements. The Pauling electronegativity of thorium is 1,3.
Some atoms do not chemically react in nature because they are already stable.
The ability to react with oxygen, which forms rust is a chemical property of iron.
the change in the nuclei of the atoms.
Americium is a reactive metal and can react with the majority of other nonmetals; also react with inorganic acids or water vapors. The Pauling electronegativity (a measure of reactivity) of americium is 1,5.
- Pauling electronegativity: 1,38- valences: 3 to 7- is pyrophoric- has 4 allotropes- reacts with acids- react with nonmetals
- Pauling electronegativity: 1,38- valences: 3 to 7- is pyrophoric- has 4 allotropes- reacts with acids- react with nonmetals
The atoms are unchanged in any chemical reaction. Only the outer electron shell is affected as chemical bonds are formed.
