When Water(Liquid State) is cooled, the energy of molecules of water is absorbed by freezer and their movement is slowed down and they form a structure ICE(Solid State).

Though density of ICE should have been greater than water since molecules are coming close due to loss of energy,But it is not the case,Water shows anomalous behavior below 4C where the density starts to decrease with temp and hence ice floats on Water.

Can you give me five examples of freezing?

Water turning into ice when placed in a freezer. Fresh fruits and vegetables becoming frozen when stored in a freezer. Icy roads forming when water on the surface freezes. Ice cubes forming in an ice cube tray in the freezer. Ice cream hardening when placed in a freezer.

What happen to the hot water when placed in the freezer?

When hot water is placed in the freezer, it will begin to lose heat to the colder environment. As the water cools down, it will eventually reach its freezing point and turn into ice. The end result will be a solid block of ice once the water has completely frozen.

Why is it bad to put a bottle of water in a freezer?

Putting a bottle of water in the freezer can cause it to expand and potentially burst, leading to a mess and potential damage in the freezer. Water expands as it freezes, and the plastic may not be able to hold the increased volume.

Is ice cubes forming in the freezer a chemical reaction?

No, freezing water is a physical change, not a chemical one since no chemical reaction takes place. The water molecule (H2O) remains the same even though the physical state changes from a liquid to a solid.

Ice cubes form in the freezer because?

The freezer takes heat out of the air in it, and discards the heat elsewhere. As long as the air in the freezer is colder than the water in the ice-cube tray, heat flows out of the water into the air around it, and is removed by the freezer. If the temperature of that air happens to be lower than the melting/freezing point of water, then the water eventually freezes at some time during the process.

Will tequila freeze if placed in a freezer?

Yes, tequila will freeze if placed in a freezer. Tequila has a lower freezing point than water, but it can still freeze if the temperature is low enough.

you freeze the substance in a FREEZER

How can you change liquid water into a solid?

Put it in the freezer

Will weight change if you put water oil and syrup in the freezer?

Well, the weight of the freezer will change when something is put in, but the freezing of these materials will NOT change their weight.

What is the difference between a freezer and ice?

A freezer is a appliance that maintains a low enough temperature to freeze whatever is placed inside it, often food. Ice is frozen water, often made in a freezer.

What is the examples of liquid become solid?

Liquid water placed in a freezer will become solid ice.

When frost forms on the inside of the freezer a chemical or physical change?

It is a physical change. When the water vapour inside of the freezer turns to frost (ice), it hasnt changed the fact that it is still water, just in a different form. Therefore, this is a physical change.

Does temperature of a solid ice increase when placed outside the freezer?

No, it stays at the freezing temperature of water until it has all melted.
