There are two reasons for this;
{1} boiling point:
Tthe boiling point of water is greater than that of ether. So when the boiling point is greater then the vapour pressure will be low.
{2} intermolecular forces:
The second is intermolecular forces. When intermolecular forces are greater then the the boiling point will be greater and if boiling point is greater then the vapor pressure will be low.
The inter molecular forces of water is greater than that of ether and so the vapour pressure will be low and and boiling point will be greater.

∙ 9y agoAlcohol evaporate faster than water because water has extensive hydrogen bonding between its molecules which results in its high boiling point whereas in alcohol, amount of hydrogen bonding is smaller as compared to water.
This makes the boiling point of alcohol less than water.

∙ 11y agoEther evaporates faster than alcohol since the boiling point of ether(34.6 degree celsius) is less than that of alcohol (78 degree celsius).

∙ 11y agoEther evaporates faster than alcohol as the boiling point of ether is less than that of alcohol.

Pure alcohol evaporates faster than pure water. A mixture of the two will slow the evaporation of the alcohol.
No - the reaction product of an alcohol and a carboxylic acid is an ESTER not an ether
Because acid dissolves in water and alcohol dissolves in ether
Water evaporates faster than salt water and sugar water.
aromatic, alcohol, ether
Alcohol.
Alcohol is evaporated faster.
Rubbing alcohol evaporates faster than Pepsi.
Ether is a form of alcohol - which evaporates very quickly. This takes heat away from your skin, and thus you feel cold in that area.
White spirit evaporate faster.
They don't evaportate. Your skin just suck it in. It then is inside you.
Alcohol evaporates faster because of its low boiling point.
because it has a high vapor pressure and evaporates faster than water.
Water evaporates faster.
Pure water is evaporated faster.
No. Alcohol evaporates faster than water, so if anything, it gets weaker.
Pure alcohol evaporates faster than pure water. A mixture of the two will slow the evaporation of the alcohol.
