Well, depending on the cut I guess. I have only tried it on not so deep cuts. it helps take the redness out. Some say to just put plain ice on it but when I done that it hurt. I normally wrap the ice in a towl or a washcloth. Remember to take the ice off ever few minutes, or you might get undesired results. The ice can also help with the pain. It kind of numbs your skin, that's also why you have to take it off every few minutes. A cold compress could also be used too. Also when you put ice on a cut it also helps with swelling.
