Not sure what the procedure calls for, but with a water bath, the maximum temperature achievable would be around 100ºC, whereas with an oil bath, the temperature can get much higher. If you have a temperature sensitive reaction, a water bath would be better to control the temperature.
Both oil and water are useful in "heating baths" where you need to avoid heating a chemical directly, or need to control the temperature more precisely than is possible with an open flame.
Water is used as a heating bath where the upper temperature is around 100°C (but of course, any steam released can be hotter). Oil is used for a higher temperature range, but usually only up to the combustion point of the oil. Oil is also suggested where the chemicals may react with excess water vapor.
Oil baths can be heated hotter (above 100 °C) and will not have the problem of drying out due to evaporation or boiling.
It is more simple, cheap and clean.
oil is used when we are determining the melting point of compound higher than 100 while for those compound which have melting point less then 100 we use water bath
Of course not. However, emulsifier can be used to help jojoba oil dissolve in water
Emulsion two types.1.Oil in water 2.water in oil.-- both will increases their viscosity. surfactant meant : De-emulsification which is quite opposite to emulsifier agent.surfactant decrease viscosity.
Oil naturally separates from water and then may be skimmed off the top. For further purification, heating the oil allows the remaining water to evaporate.
Soap must be used to clean oil off of something because water will not work.
Oil can't make you be clean but there's types of oils that can damage your skin, maybe or maybe not.I'm just not sure.
Water is used in household radiators instead of oil because of high specific heat and high heat of vaporization. Water is also cheaper than oil.
water is compressible
Silicone oil. Is it right?
Olive OilThey used oils, and then scraped the oil off after their bath using a scraper made of metal or bone.

can corn oil be used instead of vegetable when grilling a steak
butter or PAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oil is the answer K Oil is the answer K
It is a fragrance used just like any other fragrance in a home. People also use it in their bath water.
