Sadly, the stories themselves aren't real, but all could learn from the unconditional love that the characters in these stories share between each other.

Many of the original Fairy Tales, such as those collected by Hans Christian Anders and the Grimm brothers, do have some remote basis in fact. They evolved from old wives tales, cautionary tales, parables, teaching stories and what we would now call urban legends passed down from generation to generation.

The newer "happily-ever-after" stories made into animated movies and books are more for entertainment than to be believed as fact.
Fairy Tales were written hundreds to thousands of years ago. In today's life we don't know much about life then but we can take a pretty accurate guess. We believe that they are based NOT on true stories but nearly all have a moral. Beauty and the Beast (It did exist before Disney)- Never judge a book by it's cover. We highly doubt that it was based on real life.
