HT or Type III construction in itself does not have a fire resistive rating. One hour, or other rated assemblies have been tested under defined conditions and given a rating based on their performance under those conditions. There may be a rated assembly using HT methods by one of the approved (UL, etc.) testing facilities or manufacturers. You would have to look through their specific information to see. An alternative allowed by the 2006 IBC is to have an approved design professional, design (based on proven data or listed applications) an assembly that can be reviewed by your local building authority for approval. it depends on the type of occupancy, and varies on the code that you want to use.
An importance factor is a classification in building design. It is part of the required building code which assigns all buildings a structural occupancy category. This is an extra safety adjustment used to increase the calculated load on a structure based on its occupancy and accounts for the degree of hazard to human life and damage to property.
A threshold inspector is a certified building inspector who works for a consulting / engineering firm. If a building exceeds either a height, square footage, or occupancy load, the client usually funding the project is required by law to hire a threshold inspector. In addition to performing structural inspections, a threshold inspector will oversee certain activities during building such as pouring concrete and post tensioning. Threshold inspectors can be considered a form of quality control seeing that the are hired by the developers and not the general contractor, therefore not having to answer to the GC.
A building permit is issued to construct almost any building or structure in most cities and counties. It is issued once the plan for the construction has been reviewed for safety per the international building safety codes. The fee paid for the permit is calculated as the average cost of the plan review and the on-site inspections which are done at designated intervals during construction, culminating in a final inspection that approves use or occupancy. Reviews and inspections are conducted by certified professionals acting under a Building Official. Permits are a fee for the services not a tax on an activity. Most real estate transactions require proof of permitted and inspected work - thus the permit is connected to intrinsic value. Design professionals and contractors rely on review and inspections as part of any project; quality, workmanship, and safety are a three-legged stool of modern construction. However, building codes date to ancient times where consequences for poor construction were direct - if someone was injured or died, the builder would be subjected to the same fate! If a contractor suggests that there is no need for permits they, more likely than not, are cutting corners on the project, unqualified, unlicensed, or all of these. As part of permit review most jurisdictions check contractor licenses. In addition, the review also includes a review of the site to insure proper placement and availability of services such as water and sewer. For more information, contact your local building safety department's Building Official.

what is considered a good occupancy rate for a hotel
You start paying the construction loan after the construction is completed and the property is ready for occupancy.
Is a Georgia county inspector required by law to insure that all the mandatory construction codes of Georgia have been followed before issuing a certificate of occupancy
No. Generally you need to obtain a certificate of occupancy in order to live in any dwelling. You need to check your local laws.
Occupancy permits apply when you change an occupancy or change a structure. If there is no change, the prior occupancy permit would apply.
the church hall would be an assembly occupancy, the school would be an education occupancy and the building would be a mixed occupancy.
Divide current occupancy by the total possible occupancy and multiply by 100. For example: If a facility has a total possible occupancy of 100 and the current occupancy is 75 then the occupancy rate is 75%. 75 / 100 * 100 = 75 % If you do not multiply by 100 then you have the answer as a decimal fraction.
define the hospital beds occupancy rete?
There are actually a few ways that you can calculate occupancy rate. You can have general unit occupancy, occupancy by square footage or economic occupancy. There is an article in the Storage Facilitator that breaks down each of these and tells you what percentage you should aim for. Check it out in the related links section.
Occupancy refers to the state of being inhabited or occupied. For example, a hotel's occupancy rate indicates the percentage of rooms that are currently being used. In occupancy analysis, businesses and organizations assess the utilization of space to optimize efficiency.
A building has to undergo a quality check before it can be commissioned. The check includes design, construction, occupancy, and operations. The process is so one can be sure in which condition the building is.
